GenAI@Work: ​Prompt Engineering

Prompt engineering empowers educators to harness AI for personalized and engaging student learning experiences. This overview explores prompt engineering’s transformative potential in AI-enhanced education, introducing six key strategies: clear instructions, relevant context, task decomposition, adequate processing time, tool integration, and systematic testing. promting models including GPT-3.5 / GPT-4 / GPT-4o / Deepseek R1/ Deepseek V3 were discussed. Furthermore, tactics such as using personas, providing clear and detailed context, and employing delimiters enhance prompt relevance and guide AI to perform more effectively. Practical applications include email reply and news dissemination were covered. Human-AI collaboration is a rapidly developing area, and while AI prompting can augment teaching and learning design, it is prone to limitations such as biases and inaccuracies.
