Use Case
Building Foundational STEM Courses for Nurturing Future Innovators amidst an AI-Infused World
The School of Innovation was established to disrupt traditional disciplinary boundaries while responding to the rapid growth of AI’s capability. It’s aims are grounded in the need for interdisciplinarity in solving problems, human-AI collaboration and a foundation in STEM knowledge. The seminar details the designing and implementing of four courses for the first cohort of around 40 students. The courses were designed covering key areas import for future applications, namely; computational thinking, the use of matrices, mathematical modelling and data science. Course material and activities integrate the use of AI as assistant, in order to shift the focus of education to developing AI competence.
