Abstract

Many tools offer exciting possibilities in the ever-evolving fields of GenAI and educational technology (EdTech). To help educators harness the power of these tools, we offer a series of workshops focused on the most commonly used GenAI and EdTech tools. Participants will better understand and integrate these tools into their teaching practices through these workshops. They will be provided with practical examples of their application in real-world scenarios. This is a unique opportunity to explore and leverage these tools to enhance the educational experience for both teachers and students.

Abstract

VCLLCBot is a chatbot TDLEG project initiated by the School of Chinese. The chatbot offers a range of customisable functions designed to support teaching and learning activities. It is currently integrated into Moodle, allowing teachers to create customised chatbot activities for students to use in class or as self-learning resources.

As a collaborator, TALIC provides support for a cloned version of the platform, tentatively named TALICChatbot, as a pilot initiative for faculties. This first workshop will offer hands-on training on the basic concepts and functions of the chatbot, including agent setup, Moodle integration, and practical usage scenarios. A brief introduction to advanced features will also be provided. More advanced hands-on training will be offered in subsequent workshops.
