Community of Practice (CoP)

The Community of Practice (CoP) for Student Partnership aims to transform educational engagement through student-staff collaboration. It is founded on the principle of sharing effective partnership practices across institutions and serves as a platform for exchanging innovative strategies to enhance student participation in education. This initiative, extending beyond the scope of the IICA project, is propelled forward by our dedicated team. We are devoted to enriching the Community of Practice (CoP) with an extensive collection of tools, case studies, and best practices. Our goal is to cultivate a long-lasting culture of student involvement and participation in higher education.

Key Objectives

Promoting Active Student Engagement: We encourage the integration of student perspectives in curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and assessment strategies.
Encouraging Inter-Institutional Collaboration: We will extend invitations to join the CoP to new members from both local and overseas institutions, fostering a global network of shared knowledge and practices in student partnership.
Establishing a Sustainable Community: By consistently updating our hub with a wide range of materials and tools, we aim to bolster innovative partnership practices, ensuring the CoP remains a vibrant and evolving platform for collaboration and learning.

Commitment	Long-term: Dedicated to the ongoing success and strategic direction of the Community.	Variable: Commitment can range from long-term advocacy to project-based involvement.	Short to Medium Term: Commitment to learning and applying SaP principles, with potential for increased involvement.	Short-term or Flexible: Interest-driven engagement, with no specific commitment to active participation.
Mentorship Role	Provide strategic mentorship to other levels, particularly in guiding the Community’s overarching goals.	Act as mentors to Apprentice Practitioners and occasionally to Curious Observers, sharing knowledge and practical insights.	Seek mentorship from higher levels, share experiences and learnings with peers and Curious Observers.
