Welcome to the Community of Practice for Student Partnership (CoP-SP)!
The CoP-SP aims to transform educational engagement through student-staff collaboration. It is founded on the principle of sharing effective partnership practices across institutions and serves as a platform for exchanging innovative strategies to enhance student participation in education. This initiative builds on the strong foundation laid by our previous UGC-funded TDLEG-IICA project, Co-Creating the Future of Education: A Student Partnership Project (2022–25 Triennium).
We are currently embarking on an exciting new journey through a new UGC-funded TDLEG-IICA project (2025–28 Triennium), Exploring GenAI Use in Teaching and Learning Enhancement through a Pedagogical Partnership Approach and Collaborative Showcase. This project envisions a transformative shift in higher education by extending our established network and embracing a pedagogical partnership model that integrates GenAI as a strategic collaborator.
The primary objectives of our current project are to:
- Promote Collaborative, Cross-Institutional Innovation
Foster a sustainable Community of Practice that bridges regional and international institutions, training novices, and enabling shared insights and co-developed educational innovations through professional development initiatives such as a project award scheme and a joint-university festival. - Explore GenAI use in teaching and learning enhancement through a pedagogical partnership approach
- Enhancing Student Engagement & Capacity Development
Empowering students to become collaborative learners with robust AI literacy, fostering critical thinking and responsible use of emerging technologies. - Innovating Assessment Practices
Leveraging AI-assisted tools to refine formative assessments and offer personalised feedback, while addressing challenges such as AI hallucinations. - Transforming Faculty Roles & Teaching Methodologies
Support educators in reimagining their instructional practices through innovative GenAI integration, ultimately evolving their roles into facilitators and partners in the co-creation process. - Advancing Academic Research & Knowledge Creation
Exploring and implementing GenAI-driven solutions to bolster scholarly research and collaborative knowledge production.

By combining principles of reasoned human judgment with the innovative capabilities of GenAI, this project seeks to cultivate a collaborative culture among students, faculty, and technology, address the challenges of modern education and set a new standard for transformative, participatory, and ethically sound pedagogical practices.
