All new PhD students beginning their studies AY 2027-2028 and onwards will be required to complete a pedagogical training course, designed and offered by faculties or departments. TALIC is committed to
- supporting staff in designing these courses, and
- vetting courses to uphold course quality and standards.
From 2027-2028 Academic Year onwards, faculties and/or departments will be responsible for designing and delivering a pedagogical training course that enables RPg students to teach in their faculty/department.
TALIC will vet the proposed courses according to the guidelines provided. Vetting criteria (endorsed by Prof Jay Siegel, VP PVC T&L), a template and checklist, and other materials are provided to support staff in their course design.
