  • Abstract

Biomedical sciences including anatomy and physiology are the cornerstone of nursing studies. Nursing students often struggle with mastering biomedical sciences. To address this, we propose using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to enhance learning effectiveness of biomedical sciences among freshmen nursing students. To promote the learning effectiveness and make sure they have sufficient level of biomedical knowledge for writing strong prompts, students will finish tasks in which they will formulate the solutions by applying their biomedical knowledge with assistance of GenAI during tutorials. Interactive workshops will also be developed to train students in crafting high-quality prompts using the “IDEA Framework for Prompt Engineering.”[1] In the training workshops, students will also know how to make personalized mind map and summary notes for enhancing the learning effectiveness. The integration of GenAI into the tutorials aims to support learners in achieving higher-level learning objectives.
