Abstract
This seminar explores the innovative pedagogies alongside application of the Vox video platform to transform teaching and learning from the classroom to the workplace. Three HKU educators from diverse professional disciplines will present case studies on using Vox to cultivate essential future skills.
The session will be structured in three parts. First, each speaker will briefly introduce their course content and learning outcomes focused on professional readiness. Second, they will detail their pedagogical approach, explaining how Vox’s features—such as time-stamped commenting, peer feedback, and video uploads for reflection—facilitate flipped classrooms, enhance online engagement, and drive critical in-class discussions. Finally, the speakers will share initial outcomes and insights, demonstrating how Vox increases student accountability, enables objective self-reflection against core competencies, and provides valuable data for instructors. The discussion will also explore future applications, including the use of AI-powered engagement analytics to further personalize learning.
This session is ideal for educators interested in practical strategies for using technology to foster authentic skills development, peer learning, and reflective practice in professional education.
