Overview
Three Teaching Excellence Awards Workshops will be offered on the 20 Sept 2022, 29 Sept 2022 and 10 Oct 2022. The workshops are open to all teaching staff who are interested in finding out more about the different Teaching Excellence Awards and will include an overview of the teaching excellence award scheme.
In addition, Dr. Chan and some TEA winners will be available for consultations on the 10 October 2022 between 12:30pm – 2:00pm.

Staff will be provided with an overview of the award schemes, the key selection criteria, and some suggestions on preparing an evidence-based teaching portfolio. This workshop is an informal workshop, giving teachers a time and space to ask questions about the teaching awards. Staff who are thinking about making an application in the next round are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop. Staff who are not sure, or would simply like to know more about the scheme, are also very welcome.

This workshop will emphasise the construction of an evidence-based portfolio as the submission for the TEA scheme. The facilitators will help you to start the process during this workshop or answer your questions that you have for the portfolio.

In this workshop, three award winners – Dr. Dirk Schnieders (Engineering), Ms. Vincci Mak (Architecture) and Dr. Edmond Choi (LKS Medicine) will share with us their experience of applying for the award and their journey after winning the award. In addition, Dr. Cecilia Chan and the TEA winners will be available for private consultations after the sharing. Each time slot will be 15 minutes long.
