12:40pm – 1:00pm Q&A session with representatives from the Human Resources Office and TALIC
 

Abstract

Summative peer review of teaching will form part of the evaluation process for professoriate and teaching staff undergoing major personnel events at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) from the start of academic year 2023-24. This workshop will introduce the summative peer review process at HKU and share good practices in professional teaching observations. For the Questions and Answers Session towards the end of the workshop, Ms. Marie Yip, Assistant Director of Human Resources and Ms. Karen Chiu, Human Resources Manager from the Human Resources Office will also be present as resource persons to address any HR-related queries (e.g. the timeline for submitting the peer review reports required for various major personnel events).

About the Speaker

Dr. Lillian Luk is an assistant professor at the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC), and an honorary research fellow at the Centre for Engineering Education, University College London. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been actively involved in consultations with academics on pedagogical design and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
