The University of Hong Kong is proud to host “The AI Educational Expo and Book Launch,” an enlightening event that showcases the interplay of generative AI and education. This special event, co-hosted with HKBU, CUHK, HKUST and PolyU will also mark the launch of Prof. Cecilia K Y Chan’s new AI book, “Generative AI in Higher Education: The ChatGPT Effect.”
The expo, set to run from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, will feature cutting-edge AI technologies and innovative educational tools developed by AI tech companies and academic faculties from Hong Kong. The book launch will commence at 5:15 PM with Prof. Hugo Horta as the chair, featuring a 30-minute presentation by Prof. Chan. Esteemed discussants including Dr. Benjamin Moorhouse (HKBU), Prof. Gary Wong (HKU) and Dr. Julia Chen (PolyU) will engage in a critical dialogue about the implications and transformations brought by AI in educational settings. Join us for an afternoon of insight and forward-thinking discussion, complemented by snacks and coffee between sessions.
